Synopsis
Zeph is an itinerant of indeterminate origin. He has no real memory of a time when he wasn't traveling from place to place. He's turned his hand to most jobs at one time or another (though nothing of course that would require concentrated skills, or serious study. He does seem to have a natural talent with people, coming across as a "nice guy". Over time he has been involved in more than one hustle. Mostly, however, he trades in favours real or imagined as he travels across the galaxy.
Matt's character probably ran into him on a previous planet and has tracked him down as a source on finding that he was in Mellasuâtar. He's a useful source and fairly easily bullied, cajoled or blackmailed into helping out.
