Thuran Empire - Necromancer ruled empire. Human and Orc hosts gradually expand the borders and extend the power of the dreaded Archons of the Thuran Order. Only the Alderon Wall and the Valen Massif stop them from overwhelming the Western Kingdoms. A lich, Kalos Hathal, is the Thuran Arch-Hierophant? (LE)
Valen Massif - Heartland of the ancient Valen Empire but now a forested plateau infested with monsters. According to legend the monsters get more powerful as the adventurers that explore the region get closer to the ruined Valen capital. (various)
Alderon - A Nordic Medieval kingdom permanently war with the Thuran Empire and regularly engaged vs Castria. King Guthlaf is the ruler of Alderon. Alderon is famed for its huscarls. (LN)
Castria - An Hispanic Medieval kingdom permanently at war with Amar Ghul and regularly engaged vs Alderon. Castria is famous for its Harjaz Cavalry. King Maldras is the current ruler of Castria. (LN)
Mor-Valen Isles - The Mor-Valen isles constitute the only remaining wholly elven territory in the world. This situation seemed stable until the rise of the Thuran Empire and improvements in shipbuilding led to a small pirate settlement becoming the main naval power in the Middle Sea. Amar Ghul now preys on all merchant trade in the region and conducts regular slave raids into the interior. The Mor-Valen Isles are ruled by a Council of Elders. (NG)
Amar Ghul - The lair of the Pirate Lords. A citadel high above a caldera formed harbour dominates the island that is the greatest slave market in the Middle Sea. Three pirate lords dominate the Brotherhood of Amar Ghul and only their instinctive greed and treachery stops the pirates from dominating the region. (NE)
The Summerlands - A isolated and charming little shire south of the Valen Massif and protected by Ald-Kestra. High Constable Sam Nettles represents the Summerlands if one of the other powers visits the region but the Witan of Village Elders in Midsummer decides on policy. (NG)
Ald-Kestra - The ancient fortress city of the dwarves. In legend they fought the Drow and were allies of the elves though there are rumours that they blame some of the elven battle-sorcerors for the fall of the Valen Empire and the desolation of the Valen Massif. LN)
