June 17th (Thursday) tomb raid of Seraphis's Mummy and raid on Serpent-Men ceremony.
On the Western Front the French carry Buval Bottom (north of Arras) and Germans set fire to and evacuate Metzeral (Alsace). On the Eastern Front Russians announce enemy loss of 120,000 on Dniester during the last month.
Using the information given them by Dealacourt, the party headed up river to the hidden tomb of Seraphis, priestes/healer wife of
Imhotep.
The tomb was hidden in the cliff face above the village of Saqqara where the cult was based. Sneaking down the cliff, the party enetered the tomb where they found the guardian, undead servants protecting the sarchophagus. Anya prepared candles to take the spirits of the guardians whilst Harry and Sinclair took on the first 2 zombies. In the ruckus, Sinclair was strangles by one of them and was rescued by Harry chopping off the arms and then prising away the fingers. The other zombie was hacked up by George and Marco using whip and hockey stick.
The last guardian was a zombie snake that Lyris captivated with flute.
Opening the blood stained sarchopagus , they found the mummy of Seraphis which Anya could commune with. The spell holding here was wearing thin hence the blood used to keep her from passing on. They discovered her reason for sealing herself in her tomb (final battle at the Gate of the Mountains of the Moon due at the forging). Anya created a new weave to unlock Seraphis if Delacourt tried to interrogate her.
The spirit of seraphis enterd Lyris and healed Harry and gave Marco amnesia to assist his explanation to Delacourt.
Getting the mummy out provided some entertainment but the skill of the ladies prevented a disaster.
Marco took the mummy back to Delacourt who was very very pleased with their success and gave Marco the scepre (amplifies magic) and the pectoral (aids healing). Celestine also interrogated Marco using her feminine wiles but failing to seduce the heartless Marco.
Watching Delacourt's house was Sinclair who also spotted a Serpantman and Ciarfiacc watching the house.
Trip down to Cairo catacombs.
Sinclair managed to follow the Serpantman down to the catacombs. he summoned the rest of the party. George donned jodpurs and took her elephant rifle, Marco grabbed a sawed off shotgun and Mauser broomhandle and Harry donned his leather trench duster, a sabre, pump action shotgun and colt automatic. They followed the trail down to a chamber with a statue of a serpantman and several cultists in a ceremony.
The party spread out and prepare to attack the ceremony. George found a suitable ledge to shoot the Serpentmen whilst Sinclair and Harry went into the melee.

Spouting profanities about native cultist, Harry strode through the press discharging his shotgun whilst Jesus reloaded. Sinclair meanwhile took calculated aim and blew away the first serpantman.
Meanwhile on the ledge George was sniping at the Serpantman priest inside the statue (through the eyehole) whiie MArco picked out targets and Lyris guarded the rear.
Harry's attack panicked the crowd who fled through all the exits. One slipped behind Harry and stabbed Jesus. Sinclair spotted this and shot the cultist before he could stab Harry.
Unsurprisingly, Harry went potty, ranting about Imperial justice and the slaughter started.
On the ledge Lyris suddenly found a press of fleeing cultists heading towards them. She fired 3 rounds but failed to stop them and as they were about to over-run her, she phased out. The leading cultist ran through, placing a large barefoot squarely on George's derriere. The Mauser Broomhandle sprayed the corridor, killing or deterring the mob.

Fortunately, the rude assualt had no impact on George's aim and she neatly drilled the priest through the forehead.
At that point they picked up the bleeding Jesus and headed for the hotel where Jesus was healed with the Staff of Seraphis.
