The Seed

The party were relaxing at Roscoe's house.
· Fallon came out to ask questions about Roscoe's recent demise due to a sinister contract he'd recently facilitated.
· Roscoe was involved in a deal with Johnny Estrada. This brought Mai as she had cooked for him, and had a way of getting the team into a restaurant at the same time as Estrada.
· Something about a really fancy letter that Roscoe had had written, folded while wearing a facemask (very Samurai)
· Zalkat (compared to Mos Eisley) research came up with reference to a seed in a box... Red Star Empire tradition...
· "The Last of them has been found. The only thing they value has been found and is being sent to you now. Once you take your last breath, they will be dead" A message found by Zeph at the Calligrapher's house... (there was a roundabout discussion with the old man painting cats, and a rat and finally a wolf who was very very dangerous).
· Implication is that the 'wolf' is killing members of a (once powerful) family and has found the last living member of that family as well as a treasure.
· Somehow this was linked to Mellasuâtar  and the current ruler is 'Wolf' - see below
· The Red Star Empire clan each maintained an immortal tree - the symbol of their power... A giant bonsai per clan and the specific type & style of bonsai representing the clan. Thus the seed may be a literal bonsai seed, hence representing a clan, and this is the treasure in the box...
· Fallon reports to Alysin Bryce and she quickly links this to the rumour that the 'wolf', the ruler of Mellasuâtar  is dying. his death could throw the entire sector into chaos.  Alysin informs Fallon that he is to hand over the investigation and focus on Mellasuâtar. Preventing a succession crisis is vital as there is evidence that the factions are preparing to fight over the succession... See Prequel....
